We are in some interesting times. We are fortunate here in the Midwest in that we have not been hit as hard as many other parts of the country. The Midwest does not seem to have the inflation or the deflation that we so often read about in other areas of the country. The good news is people are still buying homes. In fact a large percentage of people feel this is a good time to buy a home, because there is an inventory of homes at great prices, with good interest rates. and most analysts predict the market will turn around.
On the other end of the perspective. There are many people who are struggling to stay in their homes, under financial strain and are just sliding by juggle the day to day bills. Fortunately the government is moving quickly to resolve this crisis, and provide assistance to many of those in need.
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development has always provided a great service in assisting people to realize the American dream of Home ownership, affordable housing, and building better communities in America. Today is no different. There are currently many programs to help people in the community with their housing needs.
